The publishers of Resource Description and Access, the proposed new cataloging code, has extended a free 30-day trial of the RDA Toolkit. The URL is http://www.rdatoolkit.org/trial/signup. This product is the electronic version of the resource and includes these features:
• RDA instructions that are searchable and browse-able.
• AACR2 rule number search of RDA instructions.
• Two views of the RDA content.
• Full text of AACR2 with links to RDA.
• Library of Congress Policy Statements (LCPS) or the replacement documents to the Library of Congress Rule Interpretations.

Online Audiovisual Catalogers (OLAC) 2010 Biennial Conference
Online Audiovisual Catalogers (OLAC), the Internet and AV Media Catalogers Network, will be holding its 2010 biennial conference October 14-17, in Macon, Georgia.
The conference will feature workshops on the cataloging of many types of non-print materials and will be preceded by a Preconference on NACO Funnel Training.

College of DuPage Teleconference
While going through the latest issue of Cataloging and Classification, I discovered that the College of DuPage had a teleconference in February relating to cataloging and its future. Karen Coyle and Renee Register discussed the current state of cataloging and where its future is heading in Cataloging: Where are we now? Where are we going? The streaming video and resources are available for perusing.
